Heating, cooling, ductwork, ventilation, and controls all work together, and they perform best when they're designed and installed together. Bridlewood Mechanical provides complete whole-home HVAC installation for new builds, custom homes, cottage conversions, and full system replacements across Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, and Muskoka. One team handles design, equipment, and commissioning.

What Happens During Heat Pump Installation?

The outdoor unit is mounted on a snow-safe bracket or pad, the indoor coil or air handler is installed, refrigerant lines are run, pressure-tested, and evacuated, electrical and controls are connected, and the system is charged, tested, and commissioned. See Heat Pump Installation.

How Long Does a Full HVAC Install Take?

A replacement of furnace, AC or heat pump, and minor duct changes usually takes 1–3 days. New-construction HVAC happens in stages (rough-in during framing, final installation after drywall) over the build schedule.

New Construction HVAC Installation

For new homes, we work with your builder from the design stage and time our rough-in and final installation to your construction schedule. See New Construction HVAC, HVAC Rough-In, and HVAC Design for Custom Homes.

Full System Replacement in Existing Homes

Replacing an entire system is the chance to fix old problems: undersized ducts, cold rooms, poor ventilation, and outdated equipment. We evaluate what can be reused and what should be upgraded.

5 Questions to Ask Your HVAC Contractor Before Installing

  1. Will you do a load calculation, or size by square footage?
  2. Will you check and modify the ductwork?
  3. What's included: permits, venting, electrical, thermostat, removal?
  4. Who do I call if something isn't working after installation?
  5. Who services the system after installation?

See Questions to Ask an HVAC Contractor.

What Is the Average Cost to Install an HVAC System?

It depends on the system type, home size, ductwork, ventilation, and fuel. We provide free, itemized quotes. See New Home HVAC System Cost in Ontario.

What AC Brands to Stay Away From?

Rather than naming brands, avoid equipment without local parts and service support, and any installer who doesn't size the system properly. Installation quality affects performance more than the logo on the unit.
